About the Lodestar Expedition
The Lodestar Expedition is made up of wanderers and explorers, those who yearn to discover the unseen and reveal the truth behind Azeroth's most titanic mysteries. More than that, the Lodestar expedition is eager to share their experiences with one another and become companions, friends, and even family.Newly arrived on the Isle of Dorn the Lodestar Expedition is ready to make new friends and learn about what lies beneath the foundations of Azeroth.
Out of Character we're a guild of like-minded folks who value community and friendship above all else. We strive to maintain a positive and helpful attitude no matter what level of content we take on. Lodestar carves out an inviting space for people of all skill levels where they can explore everything the game has to offer.Our activities seek to provide a safe place for folks to learn new content. Whether that's exploring raiding after a long break, jumping into Mythic+ for the first time, trying out a new class, or delving into roleplay.
Rules
Lodestar Expedition was founded by folks who are explicitly interested in providing a fun and safe environment for people of all skill levels. We don't tolerate shaming or bullying of any sort and have many active and valued LGBTQ+ members. To that end our rules are as such:
Be Kind - Treat people how you'd like to be treated. This means we have a zero tolerance policy for racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and any form of hate speech.
Play by the Rules - No botting, cheating, scamming, harassment or other violations of the terms of use.
Keep it Friendly - While we are an 18+ guild our chat channels and discord are not the spot for ERP, lengthy political topics, etc. Please take any such discussions to a private channel.
Be Respectful - Respect other people's time, energy and desire to do their own thing at their own pace. Avoid gratuitous venting.
Communicate & Consent - When in doubt, talk it out OOC and make sure everyone is OK with the content you want to explore, whether it's a M+ High Key or a new RP scene.
Lodestar Raiders
Lodestar's raid team focuses on playing with friends and seeing content at our own pace. While we are happy to strive for the stars our aim is always to place our players' fun first. We embrace the idea of bringing the player, not the class, so we welcome those that want to play whatever class or spec they enjoy most.

Lodestar's Story
The opening of the Dragon Isles paved the way for a new era of discovery and exploration and adventurers from across Azeroth flocked to the newly uncovered shores to answer the call. From among their ranks the Lodestar Expedition was formed by a group of friends as they explored mysterious lost ruins in the Azure Span.Now with the Radiant Song echoing across Azeroth the Lodestar Expedition is undertaking its first full campaign as they travel together to the Isle of Dorn. To bolster their ranks the Lodestar Expedition has thrown their doors open and flyers advertising the chance for adventure can be found across Stormwind and Orgrimmar alike.
Much of the Expedition's efforts are in support of personal interests, pet theories, and unbound curiosity. There is simply so much to discover! That's not to say the Lodestar Explorers don't find themselves aiding either the Horde or Alliance on occasion. Often enough they find their goals intertwined. The Lodestar doesn't owe allegiance to either faction, and is open to anyone with the will to explore what mysteries Azeroth has to offer.Adventurers who are interested in joining the Lodestar Expedition can find their base camp in Dornogal with little difficulty.
The Last Shot is a pop-up Tavern that travels with the Lodestar wherever they go. Consisting of a keg of whatever Beoren can scrounge up, a few chairs, and a propped up dart board the Last Shot is a place for folks to gather in the field to share stories and friendship.The Last Shot Tavern takes places in Dornogal in the Cinderside Hall area. To get to this speakeasy you will enter the underground tunnels in the Stoneshaper's Atrium area in Dornogal. Follow the path down and hang a right at the Speakeasy Runeguard.

The Explorer's Paths
Once a Greenhorn has risen to the rank of Explorer they are eligible to select their chosen path. Choosing a path does not exclude them from joining in on the adventures and gatherings of their peers. Instead it is a way for them to be included in calls to arms for their particular skill sets.

The Path of the Wild is for Explorers that want to delve deep & take search for knowledge far beyond the safety of hearth & home. These folks are no strangers to action, exploration, & some old fashioned adventure.
Path of the Hearth
The Path of the Hearth is home to those Explorers who prefer the safety of four sturdy walls. With interests like creation, community building, & scholarly investigations they're always keeping the home fires lit.
